Teens (15½ and older)
Must complete Virginia's 30‑hour classroom requirement before getting a learner's permit. The 90‑minute parent/teen session is required for all teens statewide and is included free — completed at our site on final exam day.
Homeschool Families
Flexible at‑home study that satisfies Virginia's homeschool driver education requirement. We guide you on scheduling the in‑person final and parent/teen session at our Loudoun County‑area test site.
Busy Students and Parents
Self‑paced so you study around school, sports, and work. Log in and out on any device. Study from anywhere in Virginia. No class schedule to keep.
Adults (18 and older)
Complete driver's ed and pair it with our Adult Behind‑the‑Wheel Waiver in Loudoun County to skip the 60‑day permit hold and waive the DMV road skills test entirely.
The 90‑Minute Parent/Teen Session Is Now Required for All Virginia Teens
Effective July 1, 2022, all students under 18 in Virginia must complete the 90‑minute parent/teen component as part of driver education. If you live in Planning District 8 — which includes Loudoun County, Fairfax, Arlington, and Prince William — Virginia DMV law requires this session be completed in person. Drive Well conducts this at our Northern Virginia test site on your final exam day. It is included at no extra cost. Statewide‑only online platforms cannot provide the in‑person session your Loudoun County teen legally needs. We can.
