Yes. We conduct the road skills exam at the end of the seven-session program and issue the DTS-B certificate. You bring that to the DMV along with the rest of the paperwork, and they issue the license. No waiting for a DMV road test appointment at Sterling or Leesburg.

Yes. Virginia law requires a valid learner's permit before anyone can get behind the wheel with an instructor. You apply for the permit in person at a Virginia DMV customer service center. The closest ones to Aldie are Sterling and Leesburg. If the permit knowledge test has been failed three times, our permit re-examination course unlocks the next attempt.

It depends on the season. Through the summer we are usually booked two to three weeks out. From September through the spring the calendar opens up and we can often start within a week. Call and we will tell you the next real opening rather than a guess.

Route 50, Lenah Mill Boulevard, Gum Spring Road, Braddock Road, Sacred Mountain Street near Champe, the Stone Ridge Village Center parking areas, and the residential streets through Lenah Mill, Kirkpatrick Farms, and Willowsford. We start with quieter neighborhood roads and work up to Route 50 traffic and the Gilberts Corner roundabout once the basics are solid.

It might. Starting January 1, 2027, every first-time license applicant between 18 and 20 must hold a permit for 90 days and complete a full driver education program. If the license is issued before December 31, 2026, the requirement does not apply. If it will be after, classroom hours alone are not enough. Virginia's definition of a complete program includes behind the wheel training. The $525 adult bundle is the program that meets that requirement.
